Eight blood drives slated

ENID, Okla. — Enid Fire Department and volunteer firefighters in surrounding communities will sponsor a blood drive 8 a.m. to noon Monday at the central station, 410 W. Garriott.

Breakfast will be provided to all donors.

Other blood drives are scheduled in the next couple of weeks, including:

• 8 a.m. to noon Wednesday at Central National Bank, 324 W. Broadway.

• 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at Oakwood Mall. The Oklahoma City Thunder is sponsoring the drive. Each donor will receive a commemorative Oklahoma City Thunder blood donor T-shirt, while supplies last. One donor at each location also will win a pair of lower level tickets to an upcoming Thunder home game.

• Noon to 4 p.m. Jan. 3 at Lowe’s Home Improvement, 5201 W. Garriott.

• 1-5 p.m. Jan. 3 at Northcutt Chevrolet, 3201 W. Garriott.

• Noon to 5 p.m. Jan. 4 at Golden Oaks Senior Living Community, 5801 N. Oakwood.

• 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Jan. 5 at Cedar Ridge Wesleyan Church, 5101 W. Randolph.

• 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 6 at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 2505 W. Garriott.

Donors will receive an OBI ball cap, health screenings and Donor Rewards points, redeemable for items in OBI’s online store. Any donor who wishes to support Global Blood Fund can forgo the ball cap, and OBI will make a monetary contribution.
