ENID, Okla. —
Area teachers who register online by Thursday can attend a Saturday teacher workshop hosted by Oklahoma Energy Resources Board at Ponca City High School
Teachers who attend this workshop can get six hours of professional development credit along with a $50 stipend.
They also will get a box of classroom supplies worth up to $1,200.
OERB will sponsor a free class field trip for students after teachers present the material to their students.
OERB workshops instruct teachers on using OERB’s eight energy and science curricula in their classrooms.
The curricula provide teachers with lessons about the oil and natural gas industry appropriate for grades kindergarten through 12, created by Oklahoma teachers to meet the new Oklahoma Academic Standards.
