ENID, Okla. —
Two Enid teens were injured Saturday afternoon when the bicycle they were riding struck a box truck.
Jordan Phillips and Kirklin Taylor, both 13, were both riding a single bicycle east on the north sidewalk of Elm, approaching the intersection with Washington, according to an Enid Police Department traffic collision report.
Phillips told police he failed to look at oncoming traffic on Washington, proceeded through the intersection and struck the passenger side door of a 2004 GMC box truck belonging to Hope Outreach Ministries.
The driver of the truck, Michael Graham, told police as he was approaching Elm, the bicycle darted through the intersection and struck his door.
The report indicated Phillips failed to yield to a stop sign.
Phillips suffered non-incapacitating arm injuries, and Taylor suffered non-incapacitating leg injuries, according to the report. Both refused treatment at the scene.
