Kingfisher man is in stable condition following collision

A Kingfisher man is listed in stable condition following an accident in Kingfisher County.

According to Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Francis McVicker Jr., 73, was driving a 2004 Ford pickup eastbound on a county road in Kingfisher County at 2:16 p.m. Monday, while Chad Eric Willms, 30, of Kingfisher, was driving a 1995 Chevy pickup northbound on another county road. According to the report, Willms’ vehicle struck McVicker Jr.’s at the uncontrolled intersection.

McVicker Jr. was pinned in the vehicle for about 30 minutes before being transported by Kingfisher EMS to Kingfisher Regional Hospital with head, trunk, arm and leg injuries. Willms, meanwhile, refused treatment at the scene.

According to the report, the cause of the collision is under investigation.
