Hillsdale Christian School will host an open house for prospective families 6:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday. Current HCS families are welcome to accompany anyone interested in touring the school, meeting with the teachers, and viewing the curriculum. Refreshments will be served. Please feel free to call the school office at (580) 635-2211 if there are questions. HCS is open to visitors Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., or by appointment.
Amy Voth’s HCS kindergarten class presented a chapel program on April 3. Salutes to the American and Christian flags and to the Bible were led by Graydon Bruyn, Hannah Jennings and Trinity Anderson. Prayer was given by Emily Slaving. The nine classmates led the audience in three songs. Mrs. Voth then narrated the story of David and Goliath as the students acted it out. Characters in the skit were: David — Jake Nichols; Goliath — Kyler Messenger; Jesse — Graydon Bruyn; King Saul — Bryson Koehn; Israelite army — Hannah Jennings, Trinity Anderson and Emily Slaving; Philistine army — Brendon Osburn and Jacob Buller.
Renae Haymaker, HCS principal, presented Cooperation Awards to one student from each grade after the chapel program on April 3. Those receiving the awards were: pre-K — Keaton Kemper; kindergarten — Trinity Anderson; first grade — Morgan Hayes; second grade — Daniel Voth; third grade — David Dupire; fourth grade — John Rose; fifth grade — Hunter Hobbs; and sixth grade — Peyton Erickson.
Hillsdale High School Alumni will hold a reunion April 20, at the Hillsdale Christian School gym. Doors will open at 5 p.m. Dinner will be catered and served at 6 p.m. Cost of the dinner is $15.
