ENID, Okla. — Beginning Monday, Leonardo’s Discovery Warehouse will be open every day through Aug. 19, including Mondays.

Regular museum hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 1-5 p.m. Sunday. Adventure Quest also will be open those times, weather permitting.

“In order to better serve our community, the Leonardo’s Board of Directors voted three years ago to remain open on all Mondays that Enid Public Schools are not in session,” said Julie Baird, Leonardo’s executive director. “We kick it off a little early to accommodate the many school groups that want to visit during the final weeks of the school year.”

Enrollment continues for Camp Leonardo’s Summer Camp, which begins June 3. This summer, Leonardo’s will offer nine weeks of day camp for children ages 4-12. There will be six weeks of art and three weeks of science. Parents may choose morning, afternoon or all-day sessions by the week. Enrollments paid in May will receive a 10 percent discount. Those who enroll a child for all nine weeks receive a 25 percent discount.

Additional discounts are available for Leonardo’s members and families enrolling more than one child in the program. Scholarships also are available with demonstrated need. Camp will begin June 3 and continue through Aug. 9. There will be no camp the week of July 1-5.

“2013 is the 20th year of summer camp at Leonardo’s,” Baird said. “It is our largest educational outreach program, and the one which set the standard for all the art and science programs since that time.”

Camp Leonardo’s Summer Camp is made possible in part by a grant from Oklahoma Arts Council and National Endowment for the Arts. Local sponsors include Park Avenue Thrift and Messer-Bowers Insurance. Camp scholarships are made possible by funding from city of Enid, Park Avenue Thrift, Leonardo’s annual auction and individual sponsors.
