ENID, Okla. —
Longtime Enid physician Ross Vanhooser announced Friday his intention to run for the District 41 seat in the State House of Representatives.
Vanhooser, a lifelong Republican, will be seeking the party’s nomination in the June 24 primary election. He will face incumbent Rep. John Enns, also, of Enid.
This is Vanhooser’s first bid for public office.
“I believe I understand the issues and concerns facing the citizens of District 41,” he said. “I hope to be one more conservative voice in the legislature prepared to successfully tackle the major issues confronting us as a state.”
