Boy Scouts annual car show is Saturday

ENID, Okla. — Cimarron Council Boy Scouts of America annual indoor car show will be Saturday at the Expo Center Pavilion.

The show will be 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The doors open for participants at 7 a.m., and registration will be 8-11 a.m. Judging will be 11 a.m. to noon, and prizes will be awarded at 2:30 p.m.

Judging categories are:

• Stock cars and trucks — pre-war, 1941-54, 1955-63, 1964-72 and 1973 and newer.

• Customized cars and trucks — pre-war, 1941-54, 1955-63, 1964-72, and 1973 and newer.

• Hot rods, rat rods and low riders — best overall appearance, best paint, best engine and best interior.

• Motorcycles — best original, best customized and best paint.

First and second places will be awarded in each category.

Public judging categories are people’s choice, best paint and best interior.

The only surviving 1918 Geronimo, which was built in Enid, also will be on display.

There will be raffles for those attending, as well as a Boy Scouts concession stand offering breakfast and lunch, Pinewood Derby races and music.
