Woman arraigned on lewd acts with a minor charge

ENID, Okla. — An Enid woman charged this week with lewd acts with a child under 16 and false personation was arraigned Thursday in district court.

Heather Rochelle Turner, 27, was arraigned on the felony counts by Special District Judge Brian Lovell.

Turner faces three to 20 years in prison on the lewd acts charge and a fine of up to $10,000, and up to 10 years imprisonment on the false personation charge.

According to an affidavit filed in the case, Turner had warrants issued for her arrest for failure to pay costs in other court cases.

On March 12, Enid Police Department Officer Jason Priest called the father of a known victim of Turner’s in other cases. The father of the 15-year-old girl was able to provide a possible address.

Priest parked out of view from the address in the 300 block of West Pine. A car arrived at the address and two people got out of the vehicle, the 15-year-old girl and Turner, according to the affidavit.

Priest saw Turner and the teen kissing, before Turner grabbed the teen’s right buttock and then grabbed the teen’s right breast, according to the affidavit.

When Priest spoke with Turner, she said her name was Sara Lawrence and gave Dec. 2, 1986, as her date of birth, according to the affidavit. Priest checked his records and found Turner’s date of birth is Dec. 1, 1986.

Other officers were called to the scene and were able to identify Turner by sight, according to the affidavit. Also, several others at the Pine address, including the 15-year-old girl, identified Turner.

Turner’s bond on the new charges was set at $150,000. She had bonds in three other pending cases increased to a total of $110,000. Turner is being held in lieu of $260,000 bond.

She was ordered to court April 21 for a bond appearance on all four cases.
