Photo with a Wookiee: First Friday event set downtown

ENID, Okla. — This Friday you don’t have to be Han Solo to have your photo taken with a Wookiee.

Mug Shots Photo Booth Co. will be outside of Lola’s Boutique, 224 W. Randolph, during July’s First Friday.

The downtown event is the company’s first public outing, said owner Katie Albright.

“We are going to have the photo booth and all of our props for people to take a free picture,” she said. “Someone from Lola’s will be dressed up as Chewbacca from “Star Wars” for you to take a picture with if you want.”

Katie and her husband Dustin purchased the photo booth a few weeks from a couple in Kansas who had the business but not the time to run it.

The photo booth can be rented out for special occasions, such as weddings, birthdays and corporate events.

“We have different package deals, different levels, depending on how long you want the booth,” Katie said. “We’ll set up the booth about an hour before we’re scheduled to be there. We’ll have everything our with our props and costumes.”

She said the booth operates via a touch-screen inside and takes four pictures a sitting. Pictures can be printed at the booth and pictures can be customized according to the event with a date or a logo.

Depending on the package purchased, a photos can be burned to a CD and all photos are hosted online for 30 days.

“People can download the photos and share them on Facebook or Twitter,” Albright said. She said the booth should be open between 5 and 8 p.m. Friday.
