In celebration of Thanksgiving break from school, Leonardo’s Discovery Warehouse is offering free admission Wednesday.
The museum will be open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Adventure Quest also will be open, weather permitting.
“We are asking everyone who visits on Wednesday to bring a non-perishable food item, which will be donated to Our Daily Bread,” said Julie Baird, Leonardo’s executive director.
“Quarterly free days at Leonardo’s are new this year, and were made possible by increased support from the city of Enid,” Baird said. “We really appreciate Mayor (Bill) Shewey and the Enid City Commission for their commitment to making Leonardo’s accessible for everyone. It is the perfect place to bring visiting family and friends.”
Leonardo’s will be closed Thursday so employees can spend the Thanksgiving holiday with their families, but will reopen with regular hours for the remainder of the holiday weekend.
Leonardo’s also opened a new exhibit last week called Speed — the ninth traveling exhibit at Leonardo’s since the launch of Oklahoma Museum Network, funded by Donald W. Reynolds Foundation in 2008.
The exhibit allows guests to invent their own cars and roller coasters, push their physical and mental limits and take a look back on technological innovations.
