Bedroom fire damages house

ENID, Okla. — A fire Friday morning caused an estimated $20,000 damage to a house at 1225 S. Washington.

Firefighters responded at 1:27 a.m. to a home with flames showing though one of the bedroom windows. The bedroom of the home was fully involved, but the fire was confined to the bedroom. Some damage was caused to the roof and siding of the home near the bedroom window.

The fire also caused $4,000 damage to its contents. The occupants of the home received aid from local Red Cross. No injuries were reported, and firefighters cleared the scene about 4:10 a.m.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
