Work is expected to begin Monday on repairing a sinkhole problem that has plagued Bethel Baptist Church.
S.L. Madison Construction Co. was issued a notice to proceed Wednesday to begin work to replace an aging storm drain pipe at the church, 901 S. Cleveland.
Work will take about two to three weeks, according to the city of Enid. The work consists on replacing the storm drain pipe from Indian Drive south, along Cleveland up to existing channel south of Bethel Baptist.
The right turn corner on Cleveland to Indian Drive will be closed to allow for installation of new inlet, junction box and drain pipe.
