ENID, Okla. —
Members of Pioneer Area Quilters’ Guild will host Robbi Triplett of Bittersweet Quilts, Joplin, Mo., to their Monday meeting at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 1904 N. Pecan.
Triplett will present wool applique techniques. She learned embroidery when she was 8 years old and to sew garments in seventh-grade home economics. She made her first quilt at age 23.
Triplett’s Bittersweet Quilts has grown and expanded to more than 500 bolts of fabric, block-of-the-month clubs, quilt kits, wool, wool kits, patterns, books and notions.
Registration and social hours are 10:30 a.m. and noon. Hostesses for the July meeting are Wanda Sheehan, Rilla Cobb, Faye Waldron, Ruth Armstrong, Barbara Bowling and Linda Cremers.
The stitch and assist program will be presented by Sandy Taylor, who will demonstrate making a decorative tube quilt. Stitch and assist begins at 10:30 a.m. and again at 11.
The business meeting will begin at noon, followed by Show and Share, during which time members show completed quilt projects.
