After 25 years of service with Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, Financial Associate Darla Schminke, of Covington, has announced her retirement. A retirement celebration was held June 14 at Anderson-Burris Circle of Life Event Center in Enid. Friends dropped by for snacks, refreshments and celebrating with Schminke her accomplishments. Ed Ahl, managing associate of the Thrivent Financial field office in Little Rock, Ark., helped with the celebration. Ahl is in charge of six states, including Oklahoma. When Schminke first started out, she represented south Oklahoma City and offices in surrounding areas. She later obtained the western Oklahoma area including Alva. Before retirement, she was the representative for the Enid area.
Mary Fischaber, of Enid, now will take over Darla’s duties. Stacy Kaiser of Anderson-Burris, and longtime friend, helped with the event and showed a video of Darla and her family.
