Pet adoption fair is Saturday at the mall

ENID, Okla. — Local animal rescue group FURever Friends is hosting a pet adoption fair 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday at Oakwood Mall.

The group has rescued more than 400 animals in the past years, saving animals from local shelters and taken in strays and sick/injured animals.

The animals taken in by the group are fostered in homes, where they are socialized and interact with families. The group is entirely run by donations and those who open their homes to foster animals.

The group will have kittens, cats, puppies and dogs available for adoption west of the main mall entrance, under the Sears sign or east of the Food Court entrance.

There will be a raffle for gift cards to local businesses and items from stores such as Walmart, Applebees, PetSense, Strings n Things, Great American Cookie Company, Jacksons Jewelers, Katy’s Pantry, Jumbo Foods, Doggy Stylez grooming, Wee Too, Scentsy, Kathy O & Friends, Cherry Berry, Lola’s Boutique, Chick-fil-A, On the Spot Detail, Rib Crib, Boomerang, Grindhouse, Leonardo’s, The Felt Bird and Laney’s Cupcakes. Raffle items include a 32-inch flat-screen TV and a hand-made bag by Flo Mills.

Tickets are $2 each or three for $5. Raffle tickets can be bought in advance at M&M Cleaning, 902 W, Broadway, or purchased at the adoption fair.
