ENID, Okla. —
Enid Public Schools Board of Education will sign contracts and hire staff for the 2013-14 school year when it meets in regular session at 6 p.m. today at the Central Office, 500 S. Independence.
Superintendent Shawn Hime’s contract is up for the board’s consideration. Members will discuss and decide on renewal and revision of Hime’s multi-year contract.
Board members also will consider hiring an assistant superintendent as well as assistant principals for Enid High School and Waller Middle School.
In matters of routine end-of-year transactions, the board will sweep out remaining balances in several activity funds and contmplate a contract with Blunck Studios for school photography services at Adams Elementary School. Also on the agenda are routine encumbrances of several funds.
Board members will consider renewal of insurance policies with OSAG for workers’ compensation coverage and OSIG for property, casualty and liability coverage.
They will take up the matter of renewing the sublease of new elementary schools and other facility improvements from the Garfield County Education Facilities Authority for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2014.
Next, they will discuss a contract with the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center’s Child Study Center, for evaluation and consultation services provided to students.
Board members will consider awarding contracts for interior renovations to the Information Technology Building and renovations to the Support Services Center.
