ENID, Okla. —
A developer has announced plans to build almost three-dozen homes in Enid.
Milestone Homes, of Ardmore, has purchased 20 acres on the southwest corner of Oakwood and Purdue, where it will start construction on two model homes. In all, the company said, it will build four homes in the next two months.
Another 30 homes could be built to spec by the end of 2015, and Milestone has secured enough land for additional construction if demand is strong enough.
According to a release from Enid Regional Development Alliance, buyers will be allowed to pre-purchase homes, select a floor plan and amenities to fit their needs.
Homes will range in price from $135,000 to $190,000 and vary from 1,500 to 2,000 square feet. The land is located inside the Chisholm Public Schools district
“Our team has been very active in the construction of homes in rural Oklahoma, and we believe Enid is a perfect location for our next investment,” said Lance Windel, Milestone’s manager. “I have seen the market study released by the Enid community and believe that the product we construct will fit perfectly with their needs.”
ERDA Executive Director Brent Kisling said he is thrilled to see another development announced in Enid.
“We knew if we could quantify our demand in Enid that developers and builders from around the region would be interested. I have personally toured some of Milestone’s other developments and I can tell you that they build a beautiful and efficient home that will complement Enid,” he said.
Milestone’s investment would be just one of three major housing projects that are in various stages of planning and execution. Stonebridge Village will offer a mix of single-family and multi-family homes at Cleveland and Chestnut. Forest Ridge Heights, the name of a planned 40-home development near Brookside, was announced late last year.
