ENID, Okla. —
A 2.7 magnitude earthquake was recorded near Waukomis late Sunday night.
U.S. Geologic Survey recorded the quake at 11:18 p.m. about 8 miles east-southeast of the city. The quake registered at a depth of about 3.2 miles.
Some Enid readers reported feeling the tremor.
Earthquakes of magnitude 2.5 to 3.0 generally are the smallest felt by humans, according to geologists. Damage doesn’t usually occur with earthquakes below magnitude 4.0.
