Power out to some residents

ENID, Okla. — Electricity was knocked out to some residents in the Enid area as strong storms and high winds moved through tonight.

At 10:40 p.m., OG&E System Watch showed 234 customers in Enid were without power. Another 589 were without power in the Drummond area.

Other outages in the area included Billings, 76; Cashion, 178; and Crescent, 170.

Mesonet weather-reporting sites throughout northwest Oklahoma recorded gusts above 50 mph. The Breckinridge site showed a gust of 59 mph. Other sites and gusts were: Cherokee, 61 mph; Medford, 58 mph; Lahoma, 56 mph; and Fairview, 50 mph.
