Enid man injured in collision

ENID, Okla. — A 47-year-old Enid man was injured Friday morning in a two-vehicle collision at Van Buren and Randolph.

Enid Police Department reported Kevin Wolfe was taken from the scene of the 9:42 a.m. collision to St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center for head and back injuries. He was treated and later released.

According to an EPD report, Wolfe was eastbound on Randolph in a 2011 Nissan Murano and was crossing Van Buren when his vehicle was struck by 2003 GMC pickup traveling on Van Buren.

The collision caused the Nissan to roll three times, coming to rest on its wheels.

The driver of the GMC, 22-year-old Cory Shrum, was cited for improper equipment after telling officers there was a problem with brakes on his pickup.

The eastbound lanes of Randolph both were closed for about and hour east of Randolph, as was the outside northbound lane of Van Buren, as emergency responders cleared the scene.
