KREMLIN, Okla. —
The Kremlin community will hold its fifth annual K-Fest fireworks show on Thursday. The evening will consist of various kids’ games in the park followed by a turtle race at 8 p.m.
Come early to get your turtles (and kids) registered. Feel free to “bring your own basket” for a picnic in the park. The fireworks show will start at dark.
For more information and updates, visit the Kremlin Community Facebook page.
This event is made possible by generous sponsors and numerous personal donations from within the community.
Donations can be made at any Bank of Kremlin location to the K-Fest account. The 2014 fireworks show is sponsored by Hamm & Phillips Service Company and the Bank of Kremlin.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this small town event possible.
The Kremlin-Hillsdale School Board approved a resolution to hold a bond election on Aug. 26.
The bond proposal will provide funds needed for the construction of a new school for Kremlin-Hillsdale’s junior high and high school students, including a storm shelter large enough to accommodate the entire pre-K-12 student body and staff during severe weather.
The present facility, constructed in the early 1900s, has significant plumbing, mechanical, electrical and roofing problems.
While Kremlin-Hillsdale Public Schools has done its best to keep the school in good repair, it has long outlasted its estimated lifespan.
A steering committee has been formed and more information will be distributed soon.
Also, watch the school website kremlin.k12.ok.us for more information and videos. Public meetings will be held during the month of July.
