Cheer team members raise over $1,200 at fundraiser

ENID, Okla. — Enid middle school cheer team members raised over $1,200 at a June 7 Applebee’s Flapjack Fundraiser.

Proceeds will be used to hire additional choreographers and cheer instructors next season as well as help send the team to camp this summer.

Cheer team members sold 223 tickets for the pancakes, sausage and beverage breakfasts and received an extra $112 in donations.

A spokesperson said Applebee’s is proud to partner with local nonprofit organizations to raise money for their cause. From ticket sales to event-day staff, the breakfasts are managed by the nonprofit organization with the assistance of Applebee’s employee volunteers.

“The Apple Gold Group takes great pride in its partnerships with local schools and student-athletes,” said Michael Olander, president and CEO of the Apple Gold Group. “Our Enid team would like to thank the hardworking volunteers and generous guests who joined us to support these cheerleaders and helped make this event a success.”

Applebee’s Flapjack Fundraiser breakfasts can be held on Saturday or Sunday morning and cost the organization around $2 a meal. To request a Flapjack Fundraiser to benefit your nonprofit organization, go to
