California man is injured in wreck

ENID, Okla. — A California man was hospitalized Monday following a two-vehicle accident in Major County.

Tyler John Williams, 24, of Ramona, Calif., was flown to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, where he was admitted in stable condition with head, leg, arm and trunk injuries, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report.

The accident happened at 4:37 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. 412 and county road 310.

According to the report, Williams was driving a 1978 Pontiac Trans Am driving on U.S. 412 when he hit a 2002 International 430 utility truck driven by Steven Arthur Berg, 56, of Imperial, Neb. Berg was driving north on the county road when he crossed U.S. 412 in front of Williams’ car.

Williams was pinned for about 30 minutes before he was freed by Lahoma firefighters. Both drivers were wearing seat belts, according to the report.
