ENID, Okla. — An Enid man was extricated from his vehicle Sunday after apparently falling asleep at the wheel, according to an Enid Police Department report.

Richard Revel, 53, of Enid, was traveling in the 3200 block of North 30th at about 7:35 a.m. Sunday when his 1998 Chevrolet 3500 left the roadway and struck the embankment of a driveway at 3101 N. 30th, according to the report.

The vehicle went airborne before landing on the south side of the driveway and coming to rest, according to the report. Enid firefighters were able to remove Revel from the vehicle, and he was taken to Integris Bass Baptist Health Center by Life EMS. Police officers talked to Revel while he was at the hospital, but no condition report was available.
