Search for KFC robbery suspect continues

ENID, Okla. — Enid police are searching for the suspect in an armed robbery of a Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant on Saturday.

Officers responded to the restaurant at 702 E. Maine at 9:05 p.m.

According to a police report, an employee was taking a break behind the restaurant when she was approached by the suspect, who allegedly pointed a silver and black handgun at her and made her go inside the restaurant.

The woman reported that the suspect gave her a sack to put the restaurant money in, and the money was taken out of the safe and placed in the sack. The suspect then left the restaurant.

Enid Police Department Sgt. Greg Gordon said the suspect is described as a black male, who is approximately 5 feet, 10 inches tall and has a medium build.

At the time of the robbery, the suspect was wearing jeans, a dark-colored hoodie and a grey beanie. He had a blue bandanna covering his face.

There were several items recovered at the scene.

Police did not release details about the recovered items or the amount of money stolen earlier in the day. However, an Enid police report stated an estimated $3,145 was taken.
