ENID, Okla. —
A sleepy driver led to the injury of two Oklahoma City men Wednesday morning in the 5000 block of South U.S. 81.
Thomas Vicenta Garcia, 23, and Fransisco J. Vargas Acosta, 19, were taken from the scene of the 8:10 a.m. rollover by Life EMS to Integris Bass Baptist Health Center with non-incapacitating injuries, according to an Enid Police Department report.
Garcia was northbound on U.S. 81 in the inside lane in a 2004 Nissan UD and told police he fell asleep, according to the report. Garcia said when he woke up he departed the road to the left and attempted to correct the truck, but when he did, it rolled onto its side.
Garcia and Vargas Acosta suffered external body and arm injuries, according to the report. Garcia was cited for failure to devote full time and attention to driving.
