ENID, Okla. —
Its first networking event of 2014 brings the Enid Young Professionals to the bowling alley.
EYP members will meet Thursday at Oakwood Bowl. The casual event starts at 5:15 p.m. and runs until 8 p.m. Prospective members are invited.
“We’re excited about the new year and want to get young professionals in Enid involved,” said EYP past President Cody Jolliff, who is education director at Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center. “What better way to kick off the year than a game of bowling and networking?”
The monthly networking events are known as Thirsty Third Thursday. This month, attendees will get their first game at Oakwood Bowl free if they already are a paid member or show up with their dues. Single memberships are $35 and business accounts receive two memberships for $60.
“EYP provides great networking opportunities among young professionals in our area,” said President Whitney Hall, chemical engineer at Oxbow Calcining.
EYP exists to address the interests and needs of the under-40 demographic in Enid. The group also awards the annual 10 Under 40 honorees.
