ENID, Okla. — The Enid area could receive 2 to 6 inches of snow from a winter storm moving across the state.

National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning for Garfield, Noble, Grant, Alfalfa and Woods counties until noon Tuesday. Most of the rest of Oklahoma was in a winter weather advisory as the storm moves across the southeast United States. The warning remains in effect until 6 p.m. Tuesday.

NWS is urging caution for those who have to travel. Small amounts of ice and snow can make roads and sidewalks slick and dangerous.

Oklahoma Department of Transportation encourages motorists to check road conditions before traveling.

To check current Oklahoma road conditions, call the Department of Public Safety’s road conditions hotline at (888) 425-2385.

Those who must travel out of state are urged to check area road conditions before leaving.
