2 quakes hit Medford area

ENID, Okla. — Two earthquakes shook the Medford area Wednesday.

The first measured magnitude 3.1 and happened at 11:06 a.m., according to U.S. Geological Survey, about five miles northeast of Medford.

It was measured at a depth of about 3.1 miles.

The second, measuring magnitude 3.0, hit at 7:27 p.m. about 13 miles southeast of Medford, or 24 miles northeast of Enid.

It was measured at a depth of about 3.7 miles, according to USGS.
