Valentine's Day surprise at Enid Animal Shelter

Enid News and Eagle

ENID, Okla. — Two Chihuahuas, a male and female, were found and taken to the Enid Animal Shelter this week. And less than 48 hours later, on Valentine's Day, the female gave birth to four puppies. Shelter volunteer Rachel Hancock said Friday the puppies were doing well and they hope to arrange for them to go to a Chihuahua rescue in Oklahoma City so the mother and puppies can stay together. She said the animals were taken to Wheatland for care because of a volunteer donor.
