ENID, Okla. —
Enid and Woodward area seniors can learn more about their Medicare enrollment options at Senior Summits scheduled Thursday in Enid and Aug. 19 in Woodward.
The Oklahoma Medicare Assistance Program is out to educate Medicare recipients prior to the Oct. 15-Dec. 7 open-enrollment period. Changes made during this time go into effect Jan. 1.
“These events are a great way to educate Oklahomans about Medicare,” said John Doak, Oklahoma insurance commissioner. “Our MAP counselors can explain the differences between the plans and look for ways to save money. I encourage every Oklahoman on Medicare to attend a Senior Summit.”
Senior Summits are free to attend and funded by a grant from Senior Health Insurance Counseling Program.
The summit at Enid will be 9 a.m. to noon Thursday in room 114 at Northwestern Oklahoma State University-Enid, 2929 E. Randolph.
The Woodward summit will be 9 a.m. to noon Aug. 19 at the meeting room in the main building at High Plains Technology Center.
For information or to register to attend, call (800) 763-2828.
