ENID, Okla. —
One person suffered minor injuries Friday afternoon in a three-vehicle collision at Grand and Maine.
The collision occurred at 12:48 p.m. and sent an Elmore City man to the hospital.
According to an Enid Police Department report, Charlotte R. Richardson, 53, of Lamont, was in the inside lane of Maine waiting to turn left onto Grand, and Michael L. Hicks, 46, of Enid, was westbound in the inside lane of Maine, approaching the intersection at Grand.
Richardson said the light turned yellow so she turned left in front of Hicks. Richardson told police she thought Hicks was going to stop. Hicks’ vehicle struck Richardson’s vehicle on the right side, and the impact moved Richardson’s vehicle into the inside lane of Grand, striking another vehicle.
Tony E. Brister, 48, of Elmore City, the driver of the third vehicle, was taken from the scene by Life EMS to St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center with a possible external body injury.
Richardson was cited for making an improper turn and failure to yield right of way.
