EHS academic team hosting Trivia Challenge

ENID, Okla. — Enid High School academic team is hosting a Trivia Challenge to raise money for the team’s upcoming trip to Chicago for the National Academic Quiz Bowl Tournament.

John Crockett, academic team coach, said the idea is to have fun and help fund the trip. Tournament registration will begin at 6 p.m. April 28 at the high school cafeteria and the first match will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Anyone wanting to match wits and trivia knowledge can put together teams of four and sign up. Questions will be written by Crockett and team members.

The cost to enter the tournament is $60 for a team of four.

“The questions will cover entertainment, sports, history, geography, science, literature, religion, math, pop culture, and all things trivial,” Crockett said. “There will be trophies for the members of the winning team and for four tournament all-stars.”

National Academic Quiz Bowl Tournament will be May 31-June 1. This is the second consecutive year EHS has qualified to compete at nationals. They qualified by placing second at Cougar Invitational at Redlands Community College. Enid came in behind Edmond Memorial High School.
