Oklahoma State Dept. of Health will host community chat Thursday at NWOSU-Enid

ENID, Okla. — As part of an effort to learn what Oklahomans believe are their most crucial health needs, Oklahoma State Department of Health is hosting a community chat Thursday in Enid.

The session will be 6-8 p.m. in room 127 at Northwestern Oklahoma State University-Enid, 2929 E. Randolph.

Residents of Enid and nearby communities are encouraged to offer input on how to strengthen community partnerships that make a difference in the lives and health of Oklahomans.

Feedback received will be used to update the Oklahoma Health Improvement Plan.

The plan was mandated by the state Legislature in 2008, when it directed the State Board of Health to prepare a report outlining a plan for the “general improvement of the physical, social and mental well-being of all people in Oklahoma through a high-functioning public health system.”

People who are unable to attend the community chat can participate via an online survey at ohip.health.ok.gov. English and Spanish survey versions are available.
