EPD investigates shooting of vehicle Wednesday

ENID, Okla. — Enid Police Department is investigating the shooting of a vehicle in the Southern Heights addition Wednesday night.

Officers were dispatched at about 8:55 p.m. in reference to someone hearing four gunshots in the area, according to an Enid Police Department incident report. Officers spoke with a 27-year-old woman who said her 2013 Dodge Charger was shot at, possibly by an ex-boyfriend, as she left her home to drive a friend home.

The woman said she never saw her ex-boyfriend, but thought he might be responsible for the shooting.

Police noted the rear passenger door of the vehicle was struck, knocking off the paint but not piercing the metal of the door.

Officers could not locate the woman’s ex in the area, nor could they find the exact area where incident occurred.

The investigation of the incident is ongoing.
