Boy injured in ATV accident

ENID, Okla. — A 7-year-old boy was transported with injuries to an Oklahoma City hospital after an ATV accident on Sunday.

According to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report, the boy was riding in the ATV at 9:30 p.m. on private property near Carrier Road, northwest of Enid, when the driver lost control of the vehicle.

The vehicle rolled once and partially ejected the child.

The boy, who had leg injuries, was taken by private vehicle to Integris Bass Baptist Health Center in Enid.

He later was transported by Life EMS to Children’s Hospital in Oklahoma City, where he was admitted in stable condition, according to the report.

Seat belts were in use in the ATV, the report stated.

Neither the child, nor the driver of the ATV, was identified in the report.
