ENID, Okla. — Enid native and singer-songwriter Brian Pounds will perform a free concert Dec. 12 in the Convention Hall Grand Ballroom.

The 7 p.m. concert will be presented by Global Spectrum and 103.1 KOFM. Pounds recently was a contestant on NBC’s “The Voice,” where country music superstar Blake Shelton selected Pounds to be on his team.

“We could not be more thrilled, having a local artist like Brian join us in the Convention Hall Grand Ballroom for a free show,” said Keller Taylor, general manager for Global Spectrum at Enid Event Center and Convention Hall. “We’re excited to allow Brian the opportunity to showcase his talent back in his hometown of Enid in front of the entire community. We believe this is a great opportunity for Enid to come out and support one of their own, as Brian continues to work to achieve his dream.”

Pounds said he looked forward to the Enid concert.

“It was an incredible experience playing in L.A. on a big stage such as ‘The Voice,’ but I’m looking forward to coming back to my hometown, as one of my favorite things to do is to play in front of family and friends, to the place where it all started for me, in Enid,” Pounds said.
