Oklahoma Small Business Development Center in Enid will host the “Money & Marketing: Empowering Entrepreneurs and Vetrepreneurs” conference Nov. 12 at Northwestern Oklahoma State University-Enid.
The free conference is open to current or future entrepreneurs. The conference will give veterans and others information needed to begin the path to small business ownership. The conference is facilitated through the Small Business Administration’s Veterans Assistance and Service Program, designed to help returning veterans find or create jobs. Through VASP funding, the center offers ongoing assistance to veterans working to establish their own business venture.
Although the conference is in honor of veterans, it is open to all who aspire to be entrepreneurs.
OKSBDC offers assistance to entrepreneurs, including the beginning phase of thinking up a fresh idea, getting the business started, growing a business, reinventing the business to address a changing environment, and exiting if the owner chooses to sell their business venture.
Registration for the conference begins at 8 a.m., followed by introductions and opening remarks. Speaker and author Becky McCray will present “Social Media Marketing,” and Larry Weatherford, U.S Small Business Administration public affairs specialist, will present “Financing Your Venture.”
Breakfast, snacks and drinks will be provided.
Attendees are asked to pre-register for the conference by going to the OKSBDC oksbdc.org, and following the link to the Enid office. For more information, go to the website, call Deborah Gallander at (580) 213-3109 or email email@example.com.
