ENID, Okla. —
Trunk and Treat will begin at 5 p.m. on Thursday at St. John’s Lutheran Church parking lot for all the trick or treaters. All the little ghosts and goblins can stop by.
The Covington Historical Society met Oct. 1 at the Tri County Senior Center. Keith Bolz brought phone books from Lucien dated 1954-1955. An election of officers was held. Keith Bolz was elected president. After the meeting the group met in the west room for a work day. Much cleaning and rearranging was done.
At the Sept. 3 meeting, Linda Postier brought a little thing from the old bank building that the storm had blown down. It might have been a vent cover made of wood and tin. In 1955, Hydes sold their hardware store and Gentrys bought it. They moved from the building where the laundry was. Keith Bolz brought pictures and an 1939-1940 annual that Pursleys donated. The pictures were in an envelope from the American Theater, Covington, the Diploma of Tom Pursley..
The group appreciated everything. All donations are welcome. The next historical meeting will be Nov. 5 at the Tri County Senior Center. Everyone is welcome to attend.
