Come-and-go reception is Saturday
A come-and-go reception for Janice Buffalo, pastor of Enid Free Methodist Church, 1114 Hite Blvd., will be held 2-4 p.m. Saturday at the church.
She was ordained as an elder with the Free Methodist Church during the annual Mid-America Conference held May 30-31, in Bolivar, Mo.
The conference came to a temporary halt, when they were forced to evacuate and move to some basement rooms for about an hour, as a tornado passed over their building. God was merciful and they were able to continue with the ceremony.
Pastor Janice was associate pastor from July 2005 through June 2008, when she became senior pastor.
She received her call to ministry in 2004, and has been working toward her Elder’s Order since 2005. Now, by the grace of God and a lot of hard work, she has achieved her goal.
