Billings Community Christmas Parade will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday.
Theme for the parade is “An Old Fashioned Christmas.” Billings Chamber of Commerce sponsors the parade and encourages local churches, school organizations, community organizations and surrounding communities to participate.
Local merchants and the commerce have donated hams, turkeys and more than $350 in Billings Bucks to be given away following the parade. Registration for the giveaways will be available to those 18 years of age and older on Main Street in front of the city office before the parade. There will be one entry per person, and those registering for the drawings must be present to win. Only one winner per household will be awarded. Prize drawings will be held after parade category winners are announced following the parade.
Parade entrants will register beginning at 10:30 a.m. in front of Billings Community Building. Each parade participant will be given a 50 cent piece. The parade will begin at about 11 a.m. at the west end of Main Street and proceed east toward the gazebo. Cash prizes of $125, $75 and $50 will be awarded to the first-, second- and third-place decorated floats, respectively. First-, second- and third-place winners in each category of best decorated pet, bicycle, ATV and costume will be awarded $15, $10 and $5, respectively.
