Kremlin man in critical condition after accident

ENID, Okla. — A Kremlin man remained in critical condition Monday afternoon after being injured in an accident Monday morning.

Gary Swalve, 52, was injured when a vehicle he was working on ran over him, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report.

The accident happened at 5:10 a.m. on private property on Great Lakes Road.

According to the report, Swalve was attempting to start a 1997 Mercury Mountaineer.

He was under the hood using a pair of pliers, according to the report, when the vehicle, which was in gear, started and rolled over him, pinning him for five minutes.ð
