Parents, teachers, students, alumni and residents can see improvements Tuesday at four Enid Public Schools.
Open houses will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at Enid High School, 611 W. Wabash; Monroe Elementary School, 400 W. Cottonwood; Waller Middle School, 2604 W. Randolph; and Carver Educational Center, 815 S. 5th.
Visitors can take a student-led tour or walk through on their own.
Work on the buildings is part of a bond issue approved by voters in 2010. Two new schools were built and all existing facilities were renovated.
“We hope the community will take time Tuesday evening to see the amazing learning environments they helped us create for students,” said Amber Graham Fitzgerald, director of human resources and communications for EPS. “It would not have been possible without the support of Enid residents, and we are excited for them to see the impressive results.”
The three-year, district-wide upgrade process will be complete in the fall. Open houses at Longfellow Middle School, Emerson Middle School, McKinley Elementary School, Eisenhower Elementary School, Lincoln Academy and the EHS University Center will be scheduled in August or September.
