22-year-old Fairview man killed in crash

The cause of a head-on collision early Saturday morning on U.S. 60 in Major County that killed a 22-year-old man remains under investigation.

Dillon Lane Baldwin, of Fairview, was pronounced dead at the scene of the 5:55 a.m. collision three miles north of Fairview, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report.

Baldwin, of Fairview, was southbound on U.S. 60 and George Randolph Keck, 60, also of Fairview, was northbound in a 1996 International 940 TM.

According to the report, it appeared Baldwin’s 2007 Chevy Monte Carlo went left of center and Keck took evasive action, but was unable to avoid Baldwin’s vehicle and they hit head-on in the roadway. Keck’s vehicle departed the road to the left and Baldwin’s vehicle came to rest in the road.

Keck was wearing his seat belt, but Baldwin was not wearing his, according to the report. Keck’s condition at the time of the collision is listed as “apparently normal” and Baldwin’s condition remains under investigation.

Funeral Services for Baldwin are pending with Fairview Funeral Home Inc.
