Firefighters to discuss sales tax extension at GOP meeting

ENID, Okla. — Republican women and men will meet for their monthly club meeting at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Enid YWCA, 525 S. Quincy.

The program will be presented by Garfield County safety officers, a group of rural firefighters discussing the upcoming sales tax extension vote to be held Oct. 8.

Lunch will be provided from Panevino at a cost of $8 per person.

Visitors are welcome to attend. Reservations may be made by calling 233-8715 prior to Wednesday.

The membership is reminded to bring donations of school supplies for the YWCA.

In addition, members desiring to attend Oklahoma First Ladies Luncheon and Meeting in Oklahoma City Oct. 19, or the Oklahoma Federation of Republican Women Convention in Tulsa Nov. 1-2, must submit their name to the club president no later than Sept. 13.

The upcoming annual membership tea will be Oct. 17.
