— Republican Women and Men will meet for their monthly meeting at 11:30 a.m. Friday at YWCA Enid, 525 S. Quincy. The program will be presented by Joy Hofmeister, Republican candidate for state superintendent, with lunch catered by Angel Delight.

Visitors are welcome to attend, and members are encouraged to invite and bring guests to club meetings and activities.

Reservations may be made by calling 234-4449 prior to Wednesday for the $8 lunch.

Members are asked to bring new or gently used household items for donation to the YWCA clients. Items such as bedding, kitchen utensils and other household items are always welcomed by the Y to help furnish homes of clients.

The club is reminding to all to “save the date” for the Candidate Rally to be held the evening of June 3 on the Northwestern Oklahoma State University-Enid campus. It will be an opportunity to hear from various candidates prior to the primary election, which will be held later in June. Fundraising activities will include a silent auction of homemade baked items. Club members are asked to be thinking of their favorite and most liked home bakery item to donate and guests to invite to the rally.  Money raised from the rally will be utilized to help candidates fund their campaigns along with other club activities.
