ENID, Okla. — A two-vehicle accident stalled traffic Tuesday afternoon at Willow and 10th, and left a 22-year-old woman injured.

Westbound traffic was being diverted following the 2:05 p.m. accident as officers and firefighters worked to clear the scene.

Taylor M. Smith, of Enid, was taken from the scene by Life EMS with non-incapacitating injuries.

Chad A. Newton, 35, also of Enid, told police he was eastbound on Willow in a 2006 Dodge Charger when Smith pulled out in front of him and he struck her vehicle’s door. Smith was driving a 1994 Oldsmobile Achieva and turning west onto Willow when the collision occurred.

Smith was cited for failure to maintain security verification.

Westbound traffic was diverted from the area and eastbound traffic was being directed by Enid Police Department officers. The road was fully reopened at about 3 p.m.
