Medical fund set up for lung transplant for Enid woman

ENID, Okla. — A medical fund has been set up for an Enid woman who needs a lung transplant.

Jacque Duncan Nabors’ health began to fail about six years ago and she spent a lot of time in the hospital. In 2012, her health worsened, and she was placed on oxygen around the clock. She had to give up her job and was hospitalized during May and June.

A lung transplant was advised by her doctors, and she consulted the Lung Transplant Division of Integris  in Oklahoma City.

In January, she began testing to see whether she qualified for a lung transplant. On Oct. 24, she was placed on the transplant list.

A medical fund account to complete the transplant qualifications has been set up at The Bank of Kremlin under the Jacquelyn Nabors Medical Fund. Tax-deductible Breath for Life donations also can be mailed to Jacquelyn Nabors Medical Fund, 2121 N. 10th St., Enid, OK 73701. Collection buckets also are available at Western Sizzlin, Wee Too restaurant, Willow Street Cafe, Schieber’s Donuts, Country Cabin in Garber, Jimmy’s Egg, Raymies Restaurant and Buffalo Wild Wings.

Nabors will need a lifetime of follow-up care and daily anti-rejection medication once the transplant is completed.
