Police seek man who allegedly shot another, then fled

ENID, Okla. — Enid police are looking for a local man after he allegedly shot another in a scuffle late Thursday night, according to Enid police.

Police say Jeremy Jenkins, who also goes by Jeremy Smart, confronted Jeffery Holt, 33, at 1510 E. Broadway around 11:30 p.m., “and a scuffle ensued.”

Jenkins shot Holt in the face and fled the scene, according to police.

Holt was transported to St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center and later transported to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma. His injuries, according to police, are not believed to be life-threatening.

Jenkins is possibly armed and dangerous, police say. The type of weapon used in the shooting is not known.

Enid police detectives have obtained an arrest warrant for Jenkins for shooting with intent to kill.
